Step 1- Frequent Smaller Meals- Most of us hate this first process. The question that they may ask is how can eating more food help you to lose weight? Eating more frequent meals will put your body in a catabolic state. What this does is allows your metabolism goes into hyper drive and speeds up the process of burning calories.

Step 2- Watch What You Eat- To continue with changing to a more healthier lifestyle you have to consider the quality as well as the quantity of the food that you consume. Most people tend to gain weight only because they consume more calories than their body can burn off. This is just another example for you, even though you have decided to eat healthier you have to do it in moderation or you will begin gaining back the weight.

This is why I stress the fact that it is extremely important that you monitor how much food you eat. And this includes healthy foods as well.

Step 3- Do Proper Exercises- Proper exercises consists of both cardio and weight training. You do need to mix up your workout routine as much as you can. How I normally do this is Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I typically do my cardio. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I do weight lifting. When I do my workouts I try to burn as much calories as I possibly can this way I know that I am actually losing the weight.

Step 4- No Watching TV- Watching TV can be detrimental. You get into this state of laziness and some people tend to actually eat more while they watch TV. If you chose to watch TV mix it up a bit. Watch the show and as soon as the commercial comes on get yourself up and try to do something. You can actually use that time to put in a few push-ups or a few sit-ups.

Step 5- Take the stairs Instead- If you are in a building that has elevator access, try to use the stairs instead. You would be surprise how many calories you can burn using the stairs. If you have to run an errand and the distance is not too far away make sure you walk instead of driving. The more you input somctivities in your daily routine the more this will help you in your goals in losing weight.
