Since your body is growing and developing during your teenage years, it needs lost of energy and therefore should be supplied with large amounts of substrates. The body needs both glucose and amino acids and therefore must be supplied in adequate amounts.

The first item we have on our list of weight loss tips for teenagers is to ensure that you wear a positive attitude. Your self esteem must be sky-high enough to enable you to have the confidence in taking up new discipline and sticking to your goals.

This usually happens more among adults than kids, but you will occasionally find kids trying out this method as well. My advice to you: Don’t. Starving yourself can lead to harmful results and will have negative effects on your body and weight in the long run, putting all your efforts to waste.

Fourth, avoid the processed foods. These include processed potatoes such as potato crisps and all those delicious cookies that are very, very harmful. (But they’re so gooood, I know.)

Fifth, drink adequate amounts of water everyday. It does not matter what age one is at, you will need at least 8 glasses of water per day. This helps your body’s metabolism and flushes out the dirty toxins from your body, thus helping it work more effectively and properly.

Sixth, get enough sleep. This is just as important as the foods that we eat. Teenagers like other adults require at least seven hours of sleep per day. Just don’t sleep too much!
